From the start of his career, Irvin has primarily focused on dispute resolution and litigation. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience handling diverse cases, showcasing his expertise in various courts including the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Federal Court.

His areas of expertise include judicial review, disputes in strata management, shareholder issues, tenancy conflicts, contractual disagreements, fraud litigation, insolvency and winding up matters, employment disputes, industrial relations conflicts, appeals to higher courts, arbitration, and divorce and matrimonial disputes.

Aside from litigation, Irvin has experience in mergers and acquisitions, and has also provided legal advice and drafted agreements for corporate clients including joint venture agreements, share sale agreements, shareholder agreements, employment agreements, and service agreements.
